Session Description
This edition of the Security Summit will feature a diverse lineup of thought leaders, all eager to share their insights on the security challenges faced by mobile network operators and discuss potential solutions that will enhance the industry’s overall security.
Session 1 - Evolving Threats, Evolving Solutions (11:45-13:00)
The security landscape is evolving quickly. The scale, speed, sophistication and impact of attacks are growing as AI tools and techniques are increasingly being utilised– real-time AI defence needs to monitor, detect and automate responses to new threats. The complexity of modern networks, the diverse range of tools and staff training can all be augmented by AI systems. This session will look across the threat landscape and focus on where AI is making an impact – both positive and negative. We will explore innovative ideas and share guidance for mobile network operators.

Session 2 - Unmasking Mobile Fraud: Safeguarding connections in a shifting landscape (14:00-15:15)
Historically, fraud against mobile operators was the industry’s primary concern. Today, the focus is on infiltration, data exfiltration, scams, and theft of personal information, posing the following questions: To what extent have mobile phones altered the nature of fraud attacks, and how do we navigate this new environment? Here, we investigate some techniques used by scammers and spammers, including a comprehensive overview of the tools and techniques that can detect and neutralise the threats.
