Speaker Bio
Young Park is the Director of Special Projects at AVPN, where she leads the AI Opportunity Fund: Asia-Pacific, an innovative initiative supported by Google.org and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). This fund is designed to equip Asia’s workforce with essential AI knowledge and tools, with a focus on ensuring that underserved communities can fully access the opportunities presented by AI.
With nearly 20 years of experience in both the profit and non-profit sectors, Young has established a distinguished career in sustainability and social impact. She has particular expertise in learning design and project management within the context of workforce development and innovation. Prior to her current role, she served as the Associate Director of the Capability and Capacity Building team at the ESG Banking Centre of Excellence at KPMG Singapore. She also led various social impact initiatives at Root Impact in Korea, where she focused on empowering youth with digital skills and job readiness, supported by renowned global foundations. Additionally, Young has taught Social Entrepreneurship at universities, including Seoul National University.
Young began her career at Korea Telecom and has since worked in key roles leading projects and business initiatives at Bain & Company, Banks Foundation for Young Entrepreneurs (D.CAMP), and The Asan Nanum Foundation. She holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BA in Sociology from Seoul National University.
