​Ferry Grijpink is a Partner in McKinsey Amsterdam Office. Ferry focuses on advising clients on strategy and technology topics like 5G, Edge compute and web3. Within McKinsey, Ferry co-leads McKinsey Center for Advanced Connectivity which focusses on next generation connectivity technologies like 5G, LEO and WiFi 6.0. He co-authored the McKinsey latest Operators industry perspective


From 2014 to 2018 Ferry was based in Singapore where he led McKinseys TMT practice in Southeast Asia.

- Supported the GCTO function of a Nordic Telco on their strategy & operating model refresh


- Developed 5G strategy for a large US Telco


- Implemented new Operating Model in one market of a Pan European Telco

- Built a Cloud & Cybersecurity service provider  for an International B2B player


- Supported hyperscale cloud player  to define its value proposition in the  5G Telco market


- Developed strategy for BSS upgrade for large Telco


- Developed strategy for leading BSS player


 


Education and prior work experience


- Before joining McKinsey, Ferry worked for Gemini Consulting (now Cap Gemini) in their high-tech consulting unit where he served consumer electronics and semiconductor companies. Ferry has also been active as an entrepreneur in the mobile internet space


- Ferry holds a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with a major in telecommunications from the Delft University of Technology
