Over 20 years of Telecom journey, I have been a witness of the network transformation specially on the Mobile Network domain. My career began with Real time billing systems Implementations and IN solutions integrations over SS7 protocols based on Subsystem in 2G Networks in the Caribbean, I have experienced by heart the evolution of the Value Added Platforms and Signaling evolving to IP based on SIGTRAN in Europe and LATAM and incorporating SCP elements and its evolution trough System integration over API and Diameter integration to a more intelligent network elements and its evolution towards 3G and incorporating Data Traffic elements. Focus on Core Network platforms and data traffic monetizing its early implementation over transactions or sessions my career evolved as Solutions Responsible providing endless hours to manage data traffic and its integration to central elements. Evolving to 4G/Lte networks the OTT were a challenge already, so SDP, VAS platforms ( MMS, SMS, USSD) , VPNs platforms for voice and IMS / VoLTE , even Policy Control and Policy Enforcement elements to differentiate the data traffic trying to avoid what OTT already gained and in an effort to become more efficient in the QoS of the Service provided.
My passion for 5G Network comes in a different sense that the common interest , experienced in 5GPN deployment and Use Cases in Europe, developing cost efficient practices for Network deployment I do believe in the promise of 5G holds of a better experience and the evolution of mobile networks to fulfill Full connectivity, nevertheless for me is something else, Is the opportunity to democratize technology trough disaggregation of the different application in the networks and of course decoupling part of the functionalities opens the doors for new innovative approaches and stakeholders while new services relaying on Cloud infrastructure to provide agility on new Network infrastructure.
After Many years working for Technology Providers such AMDOCS, IBM, HUAWEI and CLOUD providers I believe in the relevance of the System integrator to extend and support Communication Service Providers on this journey, worked in Services, Solutions and sales for ICT always supporting Telcos.
Currently Working as Telco Director on Open Network Division in Mexico for NTT DATA I have been giving a chance to promote New Network Infrastructure Service evolution trough decoupling and disaggregation. By combining IT practices, Network Standards, DevOps Approach, Network Operations based on DATA, even Open Source Application implementations to resolve challenges in this new Era of Network Infrastructure.
