Speaker Bio
Arturo Torres is a Security Strategist at FortiGuard Labs, Fortinet's threat intelligence and analysis laboratory. In his role for Latin America and the Caribbean, he specializes in research and development against global cyber threats.
The cybersecurity expert joined Fortinet in 2016 and previously held roles in Fortinet Mexico's Pre-Sales Engineering team.
Torres also serves as a professor and coordinator of the Master's Degree in Information Security at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. He has published in technology forums and given conferences for the education sector, the business sector and security industry events such as OWASP LATAM, Alestra Fest, CICESE, EkoParty and European Alliance for Innovation (EAI).
He holds several cybersecurity certifications such as: CISSP, ITIL, Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, ECSA, Ethical Hacker and Network Defender Professional. He also holds a master's degree in Business Administration, Business and Industrial Relations, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Engineering and Information Technologies at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Torres is fluent in Spanish and English.
